14-B Residence

In this residential project not only did we go crazy, as per the client’s brief, but we also explored colour and form whilst playing with the fluidity of spaces. Moving from the entrance through the rest of the house there are pops of colour juxtaposed against white walls, old school terrazzo floors and 70’s architecture.

From the foyer boasting quirky mirrors atop the cerulean blue console to the printed bench and eclectic decorations dotting the space there’s an evocative vibe throughout. Ochre sofas in the formal area offset by a deep blue carpet and green accents along the beams come together as we kept things unconventional while celebrating the original structure and character of the house. Colourful art adorns the walls as sunlight streams in through the large windows and plants add a cheerful energy to the space. The large dining area works around a gorgeous, custom-made, wooden table and arched chairs with a stunning teal cabinet lined with ruby red goblets add a pop of colour and an element of fun to the otherwise subdued tones.

Both bedrooms open into a small seating area with an efficient workspace tucked neatly on the side and a large window to bring in natural light and ventilation. Bedroom A, for a young girl, is decorated with an abstract mural and arches which enhance the use of colour and form while the master bed has a more retro feel and dusky colours that exude an air of luxury with moss green shades against pale pink tones.
