E-S Villa

The E-S villa is a young couple’s residence rendered under the artistic vision of Mundist to bring a fun and eclectic touch to their space. The three spaces that we have worked with include the Dining room, foyer area, and entertainment room.

In the foyer, the client’s art collection became our anchor in defining the spatial quality. The placement of black and white artwork against the black-framed fluid mirror creates a cohesive visual for someone entering the house. However, the African woman painting on the right wall is complemented by yet another quirky element, the spider console. The play of contrast and compliment that black furniture pieces create with artwork weaves the statement for the foyer. The bench tucked beneath the stairs adds warmth to the space, through its natural wooden material, simpler spherical leg, and a humble addition of a planter.

The dining area exudes a formal aura, with its meticulous details, soft hues, and metallic finishes. The dining table sets a sophisticated language for the space through its marble top with soft edge detail and a muted blue upholstered chair. However, the shiny metal added to the composition through a ceiling light and mirror frames adds a hint of quirkiness to the spatial character. Under the muted aesthetic of this room, the wall features enjoy a significant presence with experimental forms of mirror and ceramic plates aligned with the architectural language of the wall.

The entertainment room takes a shift towards a more casual aesthetic by creating a unique collage of colors forms and textures. The room presents itself as an activated space through a contrast of an orange wall against the ice-blue carpet. Further, the play of material beyond their conventional perception creates an interesting visual dynamic for the space. The sitting space coffee table and side table encourage a positive dialogue with the soothing character of the carpet. The natural surface of the travertine, the organic clay lamps, and the intricate grooved wooden detail of the table legs contribute to the tranquility of the space. In contrast to that, the shelf, and the counter at the back develop a more fun conversation. The dominant presence of marble is balanced with the hammered metal wall feature, further, a conscious selection of orange walls brings a bright hue to the space.

Overall, the E-S villa is a testament to our commitment to creating unique and personalized spaces. The attention to detail, thoughtful selection of furniture and decor, and adherence to our client’s individual preferences make this residence a true reflection of their style and personality.
