This project was an interior décor intervention on an architectural design by Najmi Bilgrami Collaborative (Pvt.) Ltd. We worked on the reception/waiting area and aimed to conjure the formal and institutional, yet classy pragmatism that law encapsulates. The space channeled the rich and moody tones of dark polish that ran through a contemporary canvas. We custom designed a bookshelf and ladder that adhered to site constraints and restrictions, yet commanded authority and legitimacy as it housed the office’s law books. The dark tones of the shelf blended in with the neutrality of the floors and walls, along with strategically placed greenery that shrouded the waiting area into privacy from the lift, yet allowed for visual connection when necessary. We tied up the contained elegance with a custom brass geometric chandelier that hailed back our entire design aspirations for this space.
