For this project, we aimed to transition from drab to eclectic contemporary that revealed a neutral palette energized by vibrant pops of color. Our entire design process and color scheme revolved around one particularly important rug from Abbas Carpets. This décor item lent an air of vivacity to an otherwise understated lounge space. We used the existing marble floors and repainted the walls, and channeled formality through a marble tabletop. Gold and metallic accents ran through the side-table, a customized bold mirror as well as a modern-day black metal partition that we put in. In this space where old school met contemporary, we worked with our client’s vision to reveal a fresh take on formal lounges. All furniture was customized by Mundist.
