Z-Nursery is a one-of-a-kind project designed with the utmost care for a very special user—a seven-month-old baby. Our team envisioned a space that feels breathable, cozy, and nurturing, much like a cocoon of comfort. To achieve this, we embraced soft, rounded edges, natural materials, muted hues, and a harmonious color palette, ensuring a gentle and serene ambiance.
Infused with natural textures and subtle tones, the space is rejuvenated with playful, quirky elements that add a sense of whimsy. The nursery’s minimal yet thoughtfully crafted furniture strikes a balance between simplicity and character. The bed and wardrobe feature clean lines, accentuated by experimental knobs, uniquely sculpted bed legs, and a fluidly shaped side table. Opposite this, a bench with muted upholstery and groove details subtly anchors the space, allowing the organic forms of the mirror and table chair to stand out cohesively.
The table chair commands a distinct presence in the room, seamlessly bringing together organic shapes, playful legs with groove details, natural tones, and a striking pop of yellow. This well-curated composition enhances the visual depth of the space while maintaining its overall warmth and tranquility.
Extending beyond the nursery, the connecting aisle to the parents’ bedroom carries forward the nursery’s palette, exploring its essence through a fresh lens. The minimal yet impactful bench visually ties the mirror and cupboard together, maintaining a sense of continuity while allowing each element to retain its unique character. A sophisticated blend of teal and mint green, paired with natural wood, forms an elegant frame for the mirror and adjacent shelf. The simple yet refined cupboard structure is elevated by vibrant green tones and distinctive terrazzo knobs, custom-designed by Open door design workshop. Completing the aisle, a salmon pink carpet adds warmth, subtly enhancing the natural palette.
By weaving together natural elements, playful details, and a soft yet sophisticated color scheme, the design achieves a delicate balance between comfort and creativity, making it a serene yet stimulating haven for its young inhabitant.
