Zaki Bedroom

The Zaki Bedroom is an elevated guest suite envisioned for a newly married couple, where serenity meets eclectic mid-century charm. The client’s intent was to create a soothing retreat that subtly intertwines soft tones with bold accents. This project encouraged our design team to push creative boundaries and reinterpret the essence of a contemporary bridal bedroom. It ultimately became an embodiment of how a muted atmosphere can harmonize with striking elements to create a rhythm of drama and tranquility.

Minimal dark-wood paneling, paired with soft profiles and muted grey upholstery on the light oak bed, establishes a calm and understated anchor for the space. Set against this neutral backdrop is a powder-blue bench, a boldly patterned Abbas carpet, and deep teal accents that redefine and enrich the color palette. An oversized mirror positioned against the textured brick wall, together with a dark-green dresser featuring soft edges and subtle groove detailing, introduces elegant sculptural presence into the room.

The bold form of the dresser, intentionally placed opposite the pastel-hued wooden wall feature, creates a beautiful visual equilibrium across the space. The strategic contrast between the vibrant carpet and the softly toned bench produces a harmonious interplay of texture and color, adding just the right amount of character. Thoughtfully selected lighting completes the composition: a minimal dark-oak lamp echoes the grooved side-table profile, while the pendant beside the dresser heightens the atmospheric drama.

In its entirety, the Zaki Bedroom stands as a celebration of balance—where calmness is enriched with confident gestures, and subtle textures coexist with expressive hues. The design achieves a refined yet inviting narrative, offering the couple a space that feels both personal and timeless.
